This song is about searching. When I was growing up, I’d always had this sense that something was missing in me, that I didn’t quite fit. Living in a small country town, I was sure I would find it if I moved to a big city. I had it all mapped out in my head, but what I didn’t plan for was the feeling of unsteadiness that came with leaving everything I knew behind. I had to find new ways to feel grounded while I figured out what to do with all the possibility.
